Meet the 50 new Jerusalemites: young people from France, who came here on the "Masa" program (lit.: "Journey", a special program of the Jewish Agency), they fell in love with Israel and simply decided to stay here. A new project allows them to immediately get a Teudat Zehut (an identity card for Israeli citizens) and to start here - already this summer - an ulpan, National Service, military service or academic studies. I was with them in the moving, emotional ceremony in which they changed their status in one moment from that of a "Tourist" to that of an "Oleh Hadash" (a new immigrant to Israel). They got their Teudat Zehut, and then they flew to France to pack up and immediately return here. Welcome HOME!
